Travel to Oklahoma City, OK. Check into the DoubleTree Oklahoma City for an overnight stay. Dinner is on own this evening.
Monday, November 26
Arrive in San Antonio, TX. This holiday season, the Riverwalk shines brighter than ever when the sun goes down as thousands of colorful holiday lights are displayed along the banks and in the tall Cypress trees. Check into the Drury Plaza Hotel San Antonio Riverwalk for a three night stay. The Drury Plaza Riverwalk is located on the San Antonio River, walking distance from shops, restaurants and entertainment. Relax in the sun on the deck of the rooftop pool, which also has two whirlpools! Formerly the Alamo National Bank, this 24-story renovated skyscraper features 50-foot ceilings, travertine flooring and stained glass windows. This evening you have dinner on your own, either by enjoying the 5:30 kickback at the hotel or at one of the cafes along the Riverwalk, and soak in the Christmas spirit along the Paseo del Rio (Riverwalk). Tuesday, November 27
Enjoy the hotel’s full hot breakfast buffet before beginning today’s activities. This morning you will meet your step-on guide and begin your full day of touring San Antonio. Area tour will include The Alamo, San Antonio Missions, San Fernando Cathedral, Walking tour of King William Historic District and a driving tour of the city.
Alamo, "The Price of Freedom"
First stop is the Historic Alamo, the sight of the famous losing battle that helped secure Texas' independence from Mexico. While here you will also see the IMAX movie "The Price of Freedom". The heroism of the 189 Texans and settlers who defended the besieged Alamo fort for 13 days against the Mexican army of General Santa Anna is recreated in ALAMO: THE PRICE OF FREEDOM.
Spanish Missons Tour
Next, you will visit at least two Spanish Missions and learn about Spanish and Mexican culture here in Southern Texas.
Lunch & Shopping at El Mercado Market Square
Lunch is on your own at Market Square the largest Mexican Market in the U.S. with plenty of time for holiday shopping. El Mercado brings the spice of Mexico to San Antonio. There are over 25 different shops and vendors, you can do some of your best bargain hunting. Items range from glassware, leather goods, vanilla, and other colorful treasures.
San Antonio River Barge Dinner Cruise
Enjoy your dinner voyage while meandering down the San Antonio River and learn the history of the beautiful river are from the river boat pilot. Enjoy Southwestern Texican Cuisine, including Mexican plates and down home Southern favorites. It’s an enchanted kink of evening. (Breakfast and Dinner)
Wednesday, November 28
Enjoy the hotel’s full hot breakfast buffet before beginning today’s activities.
Free Morning on Riverwalk and at La Villita
This morning is free time for you to enjoy the shops along the Riverwalk and at the La Villita Historic Arts Village, one of San Antonio's first ︣neighborhoods.
Tour Buckhorn Museum & Texas Ranger Museum
Touring continues by mid-afternoon with admission to the Buckhorn Museum & Texas Ranger Hall of Fame. It is actually five museums in one, with horns, fins, feathers, the Hall of Texas History Wax Museum, and special exhibits. It is unlike anything seen in any other museum in the world. The Texas Ranger Museum honors the incredible history of the world's most famous law enforcement agency.
You will have dinner here in the same saloon where Teddy Roosevelt recruited Rough Riders, and Pancho Villa is rumored to have planned the Mexican Revolution.
Cowboy Holiday Entertainment
Dinner in the Saloon is followed by a Cowboy performer with songs of both the Season and of the Old West. It's a fun night exclusively scheduled for our group. You will be able to interact with and sing along with the performer. (Breakfast and dinner)
Thursday, November 29
Enjoy the hotel’s full hot breakfast buffet before loading your treasures on our bus & departing San Antonio. Travel to Oklahoma City, OK today. Check into the DoubleTree Oklahoma City for an overnight stay. Dinner is included tonight at a local restaurant.
Bricktown Canal Lights
After dinner, you will have free time to explore the Bricktown area on your own. The Canal is decorated for the holidays with gorgeous holiday lights. There are also free water taxi rides available that are narrated and holiday themed. (Breakfast and Dinner)
Friday, November 30
After Breakfast at the hotel, we depart for home with many memories to share. Rest & meal stops enroute on own. (Breakfast)
