We will start the day with a visit to the Hermann Living History Farm. Located on 200 acres, within the City limits, the Living History farm is dedicated to preserving and presenting the unique agricultural, social and economic history of the German immigrants who settled the lower Missouri River Valley in the
mid-1800’s.  Costumed guides will be taking you through the beautifully decorated  buildings in the First Settlement Village area of the Farm which includes the Schuetzenhalle, the 1790’s trading post, the Tradesmen Barn, the Riverboat Captain’s House and the Mercantile (Gift Shop). Next we will enjoy a delicious included Lunch at the Harvest Table Eatery and Miscellany Restaurant.  Your food will be cooked from scratch and featuring goodies from local producers (when in season). Shop for unique gifts and handcrafted items provided by local artists and craftspersons.  Next we will enjoy a Bratwurst and Sausage Tasting at the Hermann Wurst Haus. The Wurst Haus is located in historic, downtown Hermann. They have more than 60 years experience in the meat processing business and produce more than 40 varieties of fresh and smoked sausages and bratwursts.   Free samples of brats and sausages will be available for tasting. Your purchases will be marked and loaded on your motorcoach for your convenience. Then we board our motorcoach for Starkenburg.  We will attend “The Spirit of Christmas”  Concert at the beautiful, historic St. Martins Church Museum at the Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows at Starkenburg.  The church, built in 1873 from native limestone in the area,  is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Mezzo-soprano Carrie Kirchhofer-Tilly sings holiday favorites and Joni Loehnig plays holiday selections on the 1860 Pfeffer pipe Organ.  What a great way to find the true spirit of Christmas!! The ladies from the Parish will have their Country Store open with homemade items for sale prior to the Concert.
